The CITY PORT of Wilhelmshaven can be reached 24 hours a day, independent of the tides, via a double-chamber sluice.
Our harbour has approximately 2,500 m of public quay facilities for transhipment activities. There are also several smaller berths for local traffic and sports boats.

Approach: Distance from the "Jade Approach": 28,2 nautical miles. Airport: Bremen airport 100 km from Wilhelmshaven. Airfield: Mariensiel airfield is located 5 km south-west of the City port Wilhelmshaven, air traffic controll: 04421 - 202333. Bunkers: Bunkers are available from bunker stations by tanker or bunkering vessel. Cold storage: Cold storage are direct in the port and in the vicinity of the City port. Customs: The customs office is located direct in the port. Cranes and handling equipments: City port has one harbour mobile crane of 35 tonnes capacity equiped with container gear and grab. All types of mobil cranes, tugmasters, reach stackers, fork-lift-trucks as well as two floating cranes of 100 tonnes lifting capacity are available. Pilotage: Certain type of vessels are required to take a pilot. In particular cases an exemption from compulsory pilotage may be granted upon application. No compulsory pilotage in the City port. Rail Links: Main railway station is 1 km from the port and has regular connections to all European citys. Road Links: Wilhelmshaven is linked to the motorway network via the A 29 to Oldenburg. The City port area is connected via the "Friesendamm" in a distance of 8 km to the motorway. Ro-Ro-Facilities: Ro-Ro ramp at Northwestquay. Berth 160 metres, 32 metres wide, payload 50 tons / m². Services: Disposal of "Marpol" wastes, fresh water, electricity and telephone connections. Shiprepairs: Wilhelmshaven offers a shipyard with a large floating dock and a slipway.
